I think I know the answer to this, but anyway...
I have set up two different workgroups at the charity I'm working at, one is for the staff Windows 7 Pro computers, and the other is for the clients, an XP PC and an XP laptop, so that the respective files are kept separate.
I have set up an ethernet-networked printer which I want each workgroup to be able to use. The Windows 7 workgroup prints happily to it - but will I be able to get computers on the XP workgroup to access it? (I'm asking because my time is now limited, and I would prefer not to waste any time trying if it's not readily possible...) Thanks!
Access networked printer from two different workgroups?

Re: Access networked printer from two different workgroups?
This will almost certainly work. Depending on the printer software it is likely that the printer will be accessed by using DNS or a hard coded IP address, which has nothing to do with workgroups.
