I am running Office 2007 on a Windows 7 machine.
While deleting a bunch of messages, I foolishly checked the "Do not show me this message again" box on the "Delete Caution" alert message and now cannot determine how to revert to the default state.
Any guidance will be deeply appreciated.

In Outlook try going to File | Options | Advanced | Other (section). Make sure "Prompt for confirmation before permanently deleting items" is checked.

In addition to Joe's reply, here is a full transcript of how to control these prompts (or lack thereof), via the registry.

The Outlook 2007 application window still uses the menu/toolbar interface. The Options dialog is reached through Tools | Options...JoeP wrote:In Outlook try going to File | Options | Advanced | Other (section). Make sure "Prompt for confirmation before permanently deleting items" is checked.

The message window that you see when you create or open an e-mail message uses the ribbon interface. To get to the Options dialog from a message, click the Office button, then Outlook Options.
