Windows Key + Arrows
In my old age, I have monster screens, so I constantly use split screen via the windows key plus an arrow key. This works great on my old Win 10 machine, but on my new Win 10 machine, after I do a <win> + <right-arrow> the active window moves to the right half of the screen as it should, but the left half becomes a mini iconic list of all of my windows. This is really annoying: I know what I have open and I removes the focus from the window that was active. Windows NEVER do that, please . I cannot figure out how to turn it off. Please, help. TIA.

Select Start > Settings.
Click on System.
Select Multitasking in the navigation pane on the left.
Clear the check box 'When I snap a window, show what I can snap next to it'.

Forgive the pun, but that was a snap!
