I believe such criminals are known to the more religious members of the police as "lettuce prey"...

Police are also warning the public to be wary of further bad e-fits as this may just be the tip of the iceberg.

Then there was this one. . .
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/engl ... 693952.stm

Let's go back to a person with pencil in hand. . .

My favorite quote was. . . .
"The man was a pretty odd-looking character and we didn't get a good look at his face, but he didn't look that odd," Mrs Rule said.

"The man in the picture has half an ear - he didn't have half an ear. And his moustache wasn't like that.

"I don't think I've ever seen anyone who looks like that in Stalham or anywhere else in my life."

"The person was called Ebeneezer Sproggins, BA, MSc, PhD, and Webb's Wonder."
"Why was that?"
"Because he had lettuce after his name..."

(Note the use of the Oxford comma.)

I gather from the Wikipedia article that the Oxford comma is used less frequently in the UK than the Harvard comma is in the USA...

Chicago Manual of Style dominates most non-Press US publication, so yes. (The US Press mostly uses AP style, and there are some industry specific Style Guides, such as the AMA.) The Bride works as lead editor for all publications of a small US college, and each year I get her CMS Guide cast-off from the prior year. Not that it helps my grammar much.
