Hi,
I've been setting up some reports in a BI software the automatically sends a designated email with the reports each time they are run. When the email is received in Outlook, there is a small blue circle with a white lowercase I above the To: portion that states "extra line breaks in this message have been removed". If you click on it, then the line breaks are restored.
Is there any way to prevent this from occuring? The reports are set on a daily basis and the recipients might not notice that little blue circle. They will just receive a poorly formatted email and and think that the sender is at fault.
Thanks for any help with this.

Re: extra line breaks removed
I'm afraid this is controlled by a setting on the recipient's side, not on your side. You could send the massage in HTML format instead of in plain text format. Or instruct recipients to do the following:
In Outlook 2007 or earlier:
Select Tools | Options...
Click E-mail Options...
Clear the check box "Remove extra line breaks in plain text messages".
Click OK.
In Outlook 2010:
Select File | Options...
Click Mail.
Scroll down to the Message Format section.
Clear the check box "Remove extra line breaks in plain text messages".
Click OK.
In Outlook 2007 or earlier:
Select Tools | Options...
Click E-mail Options...
Clear the check box "Remove extra line breaks in plain text messages".
Click OK.
In Outlook 2010:
Select File | Options...
Click Mail.
Scroll down to the Message Format section.
Clear the check box "Remove extra line breaks in plain text messages".
Click OK.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thanks Hans,
Thanks for giving both sets of instructions as I am sure some are still on the old outlook, as not everyone has converted yet.
