We've had some new PCs delivered and unlike on the PCs they are replacing a mixture of some categories expanded and others collapsed in a folder will not stick, when you return to that folder they are all expanded.
I can set the view to be 'all collapsed' and that sticks, as does 'all expanded'. Any clues how I can persuade 'as last viewed' to behave as it is supposed too?
Thanks,
Ken
PS both old and new PCs are running XP so I doubt this is an OS problem

See if Views not saving Group By expand/collapse state helps.
Best wishes,

Thanks but no joy, yet. There was no effect after using the button but I've yet to try resetting the view and then restarting Outlook.
We have another odd effect which may or may not be connected but it's about applying a category so I'll start a new thread.

Unticking 'use cached Exchange mode' seems to be a workaround for this.
However since my (and other) PCs use cached mode without any problems I don't think is the real fix so I've arranged a deal with one of our IT people. He can have a spare monitor that we have if he fixes this properly
