Opening pdf attachments
I'm certain I resolved this before because I didn't have the problem, but since updating my Foxit PhantomPDF installation, I can't for the life of me work out how to allow viewing of pdf attachments in emails I am composing without getting the warning:
Could some kind soul remind me please? You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

But you are not a nuisance - you ask so nicely

Re: Opening pdf attachments
Try turning off UAC (User Account Control) temporarily:
Start > Control Panel
If you use Category view: System and Security > Change User Account Control settings (under Action Center)
If you use Small Icons or Large Icons view: Action Center > Change User Account Control settings.
Drag the slider all the way down to Never Notify, then click OK.
Hopefully, you should now be able to clear the check box "Always ask before opening this kind of file".
You can restore the original UAC level afterwards.

Best wishes,

Re: Opening pdf attachments
Thanks! That was quite pain-free, but I don't remember doing all that before.
