Hello folks,
I am getting the following response from an attempt to download music from a website. I know the website owner and trust his content.
"Safari can't find the internet plug-in.
The page ......has content of MIME type "application/x-oleobject". "
This is not the first time I have been unable to display because I lack the plug-in.
I have a PC with Window 7 OS.
1 - How do I locate the plug-in I need?
2 - Is there one plug-in that will address all MIME type content?
Your help is always appreciated!
Many thanks,
Michelle Romanica

Re: Safari and MIME content
Try the Windows Media Player plugin from Download plug-ins for Safari on Windows.
Best wishes,

Interestingly, the download, although on the Safari page, appears to be for Firefox. I downloaded it but am still getting the same error.HansV wrote:Try the Windows Media Player plugin from Download plug-ins for Safari on Windows.

Have you tried using another browser such as Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox?

Yes, Firefox works. I was hoping to figure out what I needed to do for Safari but using a different browser when this happen is a good work around.HansV wrote:Have you tried using another browser such as Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox?
