Trivial but occasionally useful: I just discovered I can drag tabs - that is move them.
For me a neat trick, since I habitually use the right-click open-in-new-tab technique when I'm ploughing deeper into a subject.
Now I can drag the truffles to the left-hand end of the trough and delete the muck from the right-hand end, and never miss a treat!

Thanks, Hans, I can appreciate that.HansV wrote:Works in Internet Explorer 8 and in Google Chrome too.
I wrote "trivial" because in retrospect it seems so obvious. I have been dragging worksheet tabs for aeons, it seems, and dragging all sorts of things around.
Minds, or This Mind at any rate, seems to have little inhibiting hurdles that fail to allow a technique in one sphere to be used in another sphere, but the more I search the internet and use my browser as a sort-of desktop, the more sophisticated I need to be in my second-by-second techniques.

Re: Drag tabs!
You can even drag a tab from Firefox into Chrome if you have both open simultaneously...
Best wishes,

Now that is mean!!
But I suppose it is exactly what Windows was trying to teach us 15 or 20 years ago - "drag and drop anything and everything". It is little different from dragging an object such as a document onto a devices that can process it, such as a printer.
In our example we aren't really dropping a browser tab -- we are dropping a URL, and we are dropping it onto a device that can process it - a browser.

Re: Drag tabs!
The "fun" fact here was that you can use the metaphor of dragging a tab.
It's possible to drag an URL between most browsers by dragging its icon from the address bar of one browser to another one.

Now I get it.
We can drag and drop metaphors into a thread.
