Navigating in Windows Explorer
Is there a shortcut to navigate up one folder in Windows Explorer, perhaps something parallel to alt + 2 in the open dialogue box of MS Word?

Re: Navigating in Windows Explorer
If you have a 5-button mouse, you should also find the back-forward buttons work in Windows Explorer.
(You would obviously have to have just navigated down one folder for the back button to take you back up one!)

Hans, that works with Windows 7. What is the code when using Windows XP?

Not sure if I understood that last question about XP, but I navigate up and down in folder using the up and down cursor arrows. Did I miss something?

I think John means "to go up one level in the folder hierarchy".
Best wishes,

The left and right arrow keys collapse/expand a folder too.
