Hi all
I have defined the style and numbering for heading one (not numbered) and two (numbered) and they follow on OK until I define heading 3 for example I have reached Subject 5 and that has numbered OK but I want to make Heading three 5.1 but when I try and modify it always becomes 1.1 however I can change the bullet points below it to 5.1.1, 5.1.2 etc.?

Re: Headings / numberings (word 2007)
Click in any Heading 3 paragraph.
On the Home tab of the ribbon, in the Paragraph group, click the MultiLevel List button and select Define New MultiLevel List... from the dropdown menu.
In the dialog that appears, level 3 should already be selected. If not, select level 3.
Click the More >> button.
Set 'Restart list after' to 'Level 1' instead of the default 'Level 2':
Click OK.
