I am in the process of transferring my Android data to a newer model. I now have this image on both phones and not sure how to remove both safely. Any ideas?

I found this but the suggested solution seems horribly convoluted.

I read, you can backup using Google 1 then restore to a new phone, but my old phone or old me was unable to.
