Hi,
It's time to plan my vegetable garden layout. I was a great fan of Visio when somebody else paid for it :) Now that I am retired, I wonder if there is a useful freeware (or maybe shareware) equivalent that anybody can recommend.
Happy politically-correct-whatevers to everybody.

Re: Visio alternative
Most garden planners are commercial.
Here is a free online one: Plan-a-garden
And a Vegetable garden planner
I have no experience with either.

Might be worth a look?

Re: Visio alternative
yEd looks interesting as an alternative to Visio, but I'm not sure about the gardening angle.

Re: Visio alternative
Thanks to all. Dia seems to fit the bill, I will work with that. The Vegetable Garden Planner looks really cool, but is subscription only, and is focussed on the USA.

Re: Visio alternative
Just curious as I am a frequent user of Visio. What do you think of Dia after using it awhile?
