My gardening diary reads "First dandelion Clock" on June 6th this year. so dandelion seeds, like viruses, were already a-spreading before last weekend's mowings.
I think that dandelions will always be with us; like viruses.
There is a downside to my dandelions. As the photos above show, the dandelions tend to distract from the glorious multi-hued tulip blossoms scattered amongst the daffodils.

But as these two images show, in the early morning, before the dandelion blossoms re-open,
even before the tulip blossoms re-open, the driveway beds make a significant display.
(Of course, they look better as you drive a car along the street past the end of the driveway).
I might see if I can convince the electric mower to trim the front lawn once we return from our banking trip to Catalina this afternoon.
