Hotmail.com Account

Post by Roderunner »

Hi Folks, I have a hotmail.com account. I use it to access my 25gb OneDrive Folders only. If I wanted to use it to send/read emails, can I create a shortcut to get instant access. At present, I have to use 2FA to get access. I know I could add the account to the built-in Mail app in Windows 10 but does not give access to the other features. Any ideas ?

You should be able to specify when you login that you want to remain logged in. It works on my PC.
Best wishes,
Hans

Hi Hans, I was reluctant to do that, I have another Microsoft Account that also requires 2FA.

You might use a different browser - each browser keeps its own cookies.

Of if you Firefox then you can use Firefox multi-account containers to separate the two logins.

Hi StuartR, the other account is a Microsoft Account using Gmail. I use it to access https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/pro ... All&page=1

The last few attempts at logging in were done without my having to log in. My laptop is shutdown when I've finished using it.

The browser should be able to stay logged in, or to at least retain it's 2-factor accreditation, when you reboot the laptop. That's what cookies are for, assuming you don't clear them.

I had removed Ccleaner from my pc and used the Chrome feature to clear browsing data. Ccleaner has been reinstalled, and I used it after my last post. When I clicked the link in your email, I got straight back here without having to log in. The Lounge is not set to remember my log in details.
