Photo Location

Hi Folks, in Gmail, if I click the box indicated in my image, it brings up photo's to attach to an email. Could anyone tell me where they are located please?

On my PC, the Photos tab of the resulting dialog shows me the photos I've used as my Google account picture over the years. They must be stored with my Google account, for the older ones are not on my PC anymore.

Thanks HansV & Leif, it seems similar to a previous problem. My very old email addresses still popped up when I used outlook.com email. 2 of them were deleted over 2 years ago. Microsoft Community were unable to help.
