I seek advice or confirmation from a wormologist, ...
... thanks to the incessant rain over fourteen sixteen days and nights.
Hi Chris.
You might want to contact John Stevens; he seems to know something about Golf, so he may know something about golfers.
We know that golfers play above-ground in the rain, so John might know someone who has observed worms trying to escape from flooded ground.
I make no mention of the stupidity of playing on ground that is so wet, and getting wetter by the minute, that even worms try to wriggle out of it.
Cheers
Chris

Chris,

Why don't you string up a USB or WiFi camera and lights to take an image every second or three to create a time-lapse movie of a small section of the yard? It you add appropriate sound and blow it up, it could become a low-budget YT monster movie.

Been there.
Done that.

I tried to find if there was a term for a wormologist. The word, wormology, also has wormology informally.

I found helminthology, which is the study of parasitic worms. Nematology is the study of roundworms, and earthworms aren't round worms. Earthworms are annelids, so it appears that annelidology is the appropriate word - but this is a rarely used word as far as I can tell, and did not show up in any searches about the study of earthworms. Perhaps it's because not many people study earthworms. Annelidology is a bit of a mouthful though, and not many people would want a mouthful of earthworms. So perhaps it could be shortened to analogy.

GeoffW,

Just say 'worms'.

Sounds like a new Nike slogan.

Speaking of a mouthful of worms, there may be more than a single mouthful

So the simple question is "Which of us is going to worm out of posting a question in either Episode 104 or Episode 105?"

Shouldn't there be castings if those are holes made by earth worms?
Just maybe they are made by spiders. Do they have a 'trapdoor' :flee:

Trapdoor spiders I know; they were rife, and I suppose still are, where I grew up in the Yilgarn of Western Australia.
Trapdoor spiders wouldn't last a week here!
