Rip all tracks from CD

Post by Dave Davison »

Following the various tutorials on You Tube on "Ripping tracks from a CD using VLC player", it appears the app only allows one track to be ripped at a time. Is it possible to rip all the tracks in one operation please? (reason; to store the contents on an external Seagate drive to play through TV)  Thanks

There is no direct support for this in VLC Player, but see Is there a way to batch rip an entire CD, not just track by track?.
The third reply (by Kodela) contains text that you can copy to a text file with extension .bat.
There are a few lines you will have to change - this is clearly indicated in comments.
When you double-click the .bat file, it should export all tracks of the CD.
Best wishes,
Hans

I had no problems at all making backup copies of my CD collection with AudioGrabber. Pop in the CD, click "go" (or whatever) and away it would go. It used to grab track titles from a database, too, which was good.

Cheers
