Outlook 2003 open large email

Post by VegasNath »

I am trying to open an email with a 6mb attachment, without success. I am getting the following error:

Code: Select all

A timeout occured while communicating with imap.aol.com. The connection has been closed.

The server did not respond to this IMAP command before the connection was terminated.
The attachment is safe. Any idea how I can get to it?

Increasing the timeout from 1 to 10 minutes solved the problem.

Ants seldom have ideas, but...

Start Outlook.
Select File | Info.
Click Account Settings, then select Account Settings from the list.
Select the appropriate POP3 account, then click Change.
Click More Settings.
Activate the Advanced tab.
Best wishes,
Hans
