Can you add a "note" to a new version?

Post by New Daddy »

I really love the "version history" you can bring up directly in Word.
Except that I wish I could add a little note in the version history.
I don't think it's directly possible in Word, but does anyone know of any clever way to achieve this?

As far as I know, that is not possible.

However, you can edit document properties or add custom document properties that are MetaData.

Yes, that's always an option.
But I was looking for something that would appear directly in the "version history" pane.
It would be a really productive feature.

Thanks for the links. I didn't know Word used to have different version-naming convention. I wonder why they did away with it.
