Please?

Post by Nick Vittum »

I glanced at my name next to one of my posts, and underneath I thought it said "NewtLounger." I want to be a Newt Lounger. Please, can I?

Since you now have 25 posts, you're no longer a NewLounger, but a Lounger!
Best wishes,
Hans

Only Admins can choose their 'ranking'. For example, at one time Hans was 'clever clogs', now he's just a plain 'administrator'. Us lesser mortals can only change our ranking by making posts. Fortunately, for me anyway, the nonsense that goes on in Scuttlebutt counts and thus I've been able to reach the lofty heights of 'platinum lounger' with minimal real effort

When is that? 6000 posts?

Is there a page somewhere that shows post numbers & rankings? I seem to remember that way back in The Olden DaysTM (pre Eileens Lounge) there was such a page.

Thanks, it was the User Ranks page (under Lounge Utilities, Tips and Tricks) that I couldn't find. So, yes, you become radioactive when you reach 6000 posts.

Sort of related...

Something I've just noticed now is that when I look at my profile I only see my total number of posts. I also used to see my most active forum and my most active topic. Presumably phpBB drops those stats when you get above a certain number of posts, to cut down on the load of having to work out those numbers.

Correct - the extra information is only displayed for users with fewer than 5,000 posts.

Handy, now my better half can't look over my shoulder and sigh deeply as she points out that about half of my posts are in Scuttlebutt

Nick, it works backwards.
Plutonium is the first serious level, and that is, as we all now, einsteinean physics.
Newtonian is waaaay further back than that.

You're a StarLounger now...

We had a Lounge Lizard named Lex in our predecessor Woody's Lounge.
