Another backup application to consider is SyncBackFree:
https://www.2brightsparks.com/freeware/ ... e-hub.html
I use it as do others here. I think it was Rudi who put me on to it.

How to backup my Windows 10 computer

Post by Doc.AElstein »

A couple of ways…
_ Way 1 ) Image
There’s a way to do it using Windows 10 itself from in Windows 10. .. It goes typically by the name of something like “IMAGE using Windows 10” or “built-in legacy System Image Backup tool on Windows 10
There are a few Tutorials in internet to find, For example:
(IMAGE) how to full backup windows 10 with drivers & softwares[ no need to install again and again] 2018-j83uvn0qfTU
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j83uvn0qfTU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Google Driver Cloud copy in .WMV format : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tJ1GsP ... =drive_web" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A Google search with something like “make an image backup on windows 10” will give you a few weeks worth of stuff to look through , https://lmgtfy.com/?q=System+Image+on+windows+10" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , https://lmgtfy.com/?q=System+Image+on+w ... 10+YouTube" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Windows 10 Google search.JPG : https://imgur.com/S0gh361" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

_._____________________________________________________________________________________________

( _ Way 2 ) Full Clean re install
I personally would probably do things a bit differently.
I would
_ back up all my personal files,
_ make a back up of all my drivers ,
_ make sure I have all my original software DVDs and or .exe installation files saved,
_ make sure I have a working operating system instillation DVD.

Then in the case of a failure, I would do a do a clean re install ( https://tinyurl.com/r3hxr7t" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) )

_.____________________________

I have not tried either of those 2 Ways yet, but I am working on it just now… ( https://tinyurl.com/r3hxr7t" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )

Hello BittteApple
Thanks for the feedback.

I also want to try the Image thing for Windows 10 inside Windows 10 soon., I will post here if I have anything interesting to say, once I have done it..

Currently I am still bogged down trying to learn more about all the various things, Installing, backing up, Lots of different ways to learn.

_._______________________________________________________________________

_ 3) Another Way
Way 3) Restore or System Restore.
This seems to be something similar to the Image way 1) I mentioned : - I tried to get a precise understanding but haven’t yet. It seems similar , but not quite as thorough as Way 1)

This is just an approximate definition comparison
Way 1 ) Image : - A “snapshot” of everything. A mirror image of your computer. You have to do it if you want it
Way 3) Restore: - A “snapshot” of lots of important things, but not everything. You can do it and but usually can also organise it to be done automatically at specific times. - So then you can have a choice of different points in time at which to try to restore your computer to how it was at those times. ( Sometime it may be already switched on , automatically by default ( https://imgur.com/d5bWGsv" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) , so does already exist for you to back up from )

I have not had time to research all information on Restore in Windows 10 .
But a good YouTube video I have about something else also mentions it briefly. Not in all the Video. Just in this bit:-
System Restore Windows 10.jpg https://imgur.com/5EpOHdp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
From 1.30 minutes to 4 minutes only is Way 3)
Time 1_30-.jpg https://imgur.com/uztT4gE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Time -4_00.jpg https://imgur.com/eqUTlfM" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here is the video in internet
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrdDM6qYv74" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here are a few copies stored in cloud
https://www.magentacloud.de/share/1gdoql8w8w" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KCm_Jl ... =drive_web" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_xz_hl ... =drive_web" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

These different ways of doing back ups and similar things are very confusing to non computer experts like me.
Trying to get a clear answer to what all the various options are is very hard.
It does not appear that anyone has sat down and given a clear run down and compared all the options.
There are lots of information on specific things and ways to back up things , almost too much information , I find.
But no one has clearly compared all different ways. It is taking me much longer than I expected to learn about all windows 10 things, because there is so much information, and only a small amount to find which is good.

But I keep trying. .. I am trying…. :)
