What meaneth this

Post by Dave Davison »

Plain and simple, what does this infer and what is the solution please? It pops up occasionally but not every time I log on. I clicked on the first option but nothing was forthcoming. :thankyou: :thankyou: Dave.

A quick Google search for igfxem module has stopped working brings up many results, including some resolutions such as this: Top Fix: igfxEM Module has stopped working.

This message relateth to the Intel graphics driver. Try updating this driver:

Press the Windows key + R to activate the Run dialog.
Type or copy/paste the following into the box:

devmgmt.msc

Press Enter or click OK. This will start the Device Manager.
Expand Display Drivers by clicking the > to the left of it.
You'll see something like "Intel(R) HD Graphics" followed by a number.
Right-click this Intel entry.
Select "Update driver" from the context menu.
Select the option "Search automatically for updated driver software" and see what happens.
Best wishes,
Hans

thanks Jay will go down that road and see what happens. Unlike your screenshot my "Display adapters" only has one item but right clicked on that & the driver was updated ok so I will see if that gets rid of the message at log on. Cheers Dave.

It's not surprising that your display adapters "list" shows only one item, the Intel adapter that's built into the motherboard. My desktop has that plus a separate graphics card in the PCI bus connector, so the list shows both. My monitors are plugged into the NVIDIA card, and the Intel adapter isn't used.

Good luck!
