Hi Folks, is this required if you don't use VPN?

VPNFilter is just the name someone gave the malware, it doesn't mean that it attacks only those using a VPN. If you want to be on the safe side, reboot your router.

Hi Hans, my router acts funny if rebooted, it also has a switch that turns it off. If I use this method with the power cable unplugged, wait so long then turn it back on, will this do the same as a reboot.
I don't feel confident in doing a Factory Reset.

Turning the router off, then on again should do the trick.

I do this quite frequently trying to increase my ???? can't call it speed.

It looks that you restarted your router 4 days (96 hours) ago. I'd say there is no need to do it now.
