Phat-Phree Puffy Potatoes

Post by ChrisGreaves »

Full details here
I took a 4oz white-skinned potatoes, and sliced it eight times.

Onto a wire-rack and in a 400F oven for about thirty, maybe forty minutes:-

Not bad for a four-ounce potato.
I sprinkled this batch with a few drops of vinegar because I felt like a treat.
But no salt, and no ketchup.
Just potato, crisp and fluffy.
Mmmmmm!

I wonder what this method would do to a sweet potato...... gonna have to give it a try, along with a regular potato so I don't hijack the thread!
Thanks for the idea, Chris!

Hi Bob,

They were really tasty. In fact, they disappeared too quickly and I didn't get a pic of them! I hope to do more in the near future since this is a quick and easy way to prepare them for munching!

So a 'shout out' to Chris for posting a nifty way to bake a potato (sweet). It works a treat! :clapping:

They don't call me "Lazy Sod" for nothing.
Just think of the hours I'm saving, not needing to wash up oil-caked utensils ...
