I lost my shortcuts in File Explorer

Post by jmt356 »

I had File Explorer set to show a series of shortcuts on the left panel. I then pressed something ion my keyboard and they disappeared. I am not sure what I did or how to get them back.

How can I, for example, enter a folder within My Documents under Libraries such that when I click on that folder I go straight to it without having to navigate to it through My Documents?
Regards,

I think the shortcuts you are referring to is Favorites.
Are you sure you didn't maybe just collapse the Favorite icon. Try right clicking on it and selecting "Expand"

For more details about how to use Favorites to quickly access other locations, see these links:

- Add Your Own Folders to Favorites (Quick Access) in Windows 7, 8, or 10
- How to Manage & Use Your Favorites in Windows Explorer or File Explorer

Some info on what are Libraries (and how they differ from Favorites).

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.

It may have been Favorites. However, Favorites is no longer present in File Explorer for me. I only currently have Libraries, Homegroup, Computer and Network. How do I bring Favorites back?

Try the Navigation button... Show Favorites...

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
