Which is why I shouldn't really be so hard on Picasa, especially given its price. It is actually very good and of all the thousands of pictures I've got indexed in Picasa I think there are only about 2, maybe 3, other false positive faces.

Came face-to-face(!) with an option to disable the face-recognition; several options, actually, so I can now photograph a newspaper article (too cheap to spend time getting my new scanner to work!) and make sure that the focus takes effect from the key paragraph, rather than the columnist. :grin:
