File Explorer Quick Launch Toolbar

Post by Cah »

Happy new year! Is it possible to add a program shortcut to the File Explorer Quick Launch toolbar, and if so, how. Thanks.

Are you referring to the Quick Launch toolbar on the Windows taskbar or are you referring to the QAT (Quick Access Toolbar) in File Explorer?

It is not possible to add a program shortcut to the QAT in File Explorer. At least not from the general interface.
Whether it can be done from a registry of programming point of view is outside of my know-how.

Scanning through several websites, I have not seen any options for customizing the QAT with any other buttons/shortcuts other than buttons from the ribbon (by right clicking on the ribbon and adding buttons to it for quick access).

Your best option would be to pin a program shortcut to the taskbar.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll do that. It's a pity the QAT isn't more accessible.
