Explorer ++ Used In Windows 11

Post by hlewton »

Has anyone here used Explorer ++ and if so, used it with Windows 11. I do know that Explorer ++ is supposed to be a small and fast file manager. In doing a quick Google search I did not find if it can be used along with Windows File Explorer? So does anyone have any comments if it can be used with Windows File Explorer and is it even worth downloading it and trying to use it?

Thanks.
Regards,

According to Explorer++ Features:
Full drag-and-drop support with other applications, including Windows Explorer
so apparently it can be used alongside Windows Explorer.

I haven't tried it, but it's free, so what keeps you from testing it out yourself?
Best wishes,
Hans

Well, some time ago, somewhere, I learned how to create a bat file that opens Windows File Explorer with its old ribbon and I did not want to take a chance on messing that up. I was just curious if anyone had tried the explorer ++ and if it had any significant benefits. Thanks for the reply.

From the Explorer++ site, it appears to be a portable app. You don't have to replace File Explorer. See this page of the documentation - General options.

Thank you. I think I'm going to leave well enough alone. I have a history of messing things up. :flee:
