Shift + f10 fails to call up Context menu

Post by jmt356 »

I am on a computer that has no context key, so I am trying to use shift + f10 to call up the context menu. This has always worked on other laptops in the past, but not on this one. Shift + fn + f10 also doesn't work. I am running Windows 10 Pro 22H2. Any ideas on what is blocking this shortcut?
Regards,

Have you tried Shift + F10 or simply a mouse Right-Click?

Sorry about that. For whatever dumb reason, I was reading your question to read "Ctrl + F10". :stupidme: :stupidme: :stupidme: I really wasn't trying to give a sarcastic or smart-ass answer.

Shift F-10 doesn't work on my Dell desktop, but Ctrl+Shift-F10 does.

"Hmm. What does this button do?" Said everyone before being ejected from a car, blown up, or deleting all the data from the mainframe.

Shift + f10 now works on my laptop. I am not sure why it wasn't working yesterday. I did not change any settings.

Perhaps you sometimes load a program that uses Shift-F10 as a shortcut key? For example, I have Snagit loaded on boot and it uses Shift-F9 to start recording video and Shift-F10 to stop.
