Opening lid wakes my laptop from sleep mode

Post by jmt356 »

Opening the lid of my laptop wakes it from sleep mode. I do not want this to happen. How do I disactivate this feature?

Under Power Options | Power buttons and lid | Lid open action, "Do nothing" is selected for both On batter and Plugged in, so I don't see why opening the lid is causing the laptop to wake from sleep.

Just a guess. If you have the "closing the lid" action set to sleep, can you try changing this to "do nothing" and see of that helps.

Closing the lid is not set to put my laptop to sleep.

Problem is not due to the mouse/mousepad settings? I had wake up from mouse movement issues and changed the settings ... it's easy to slightly touch the mouse when eg opening lid
