Mapping Drives (Network?)

Post by hlewton »

I was setting up a few shortcuts by mapping to network drives and to the drives that are physically attached to my computer. As You can see in the first attachment, I have 5 drives physically attached to this computer: 3 are actual large external hard drives and 2 are USB sticks that are labeled USB Drive I: and USB Drive J: .

In the second attachment you can see when I am trying to map a shortcut to these 2 drives by browsing to them, I: and J:, they do not show up as drives. Why is this? Is it because they are only USB sticks? Still, they are connected to my computer the same way the other 3 hard drives are.

Thanks

Yes, I would say that since they are USB sticks.

I have always had issues with thumb (Stick) drives, so I never used them on a network or shared across local users.
