Rec'd an email from Windows today with this subject:
"SERVICE UPDATE: Your final Windows 10 security update is on April 10, 2018".
Was wondering if this is legit. Didn't want to download or click on anything if it wasn't.
Thanks.
Is this email from "Windows" legit?

Re: Is this email from "Windows" legit?
Support for the version of Windows 10 released in November of 2015 (the "1511" version) will end on April 10, 2018. So it's time to update to a newer version...
Best wishes,
Hans

NEVER download or click links for Windows updates that arrive by email. Just use the Control Panel to update Windows.

Hi, Thanks Hans.
Stuart, Thanks, I usually don't do that. Not a good practice but I do read the information and investigate further.
I like to go directly to the source. Windows however, is something I've never received an email from. LOL Made me wonder.
