Every time I try and run Speccy (version 1.28.709) it causes Windows 10 to 'encounter a problem' and go into a controlled reboot! I've checked on Piriform forums and it appears the error is being encountered by a number of users - also see indications of some having a problem with CCleaner as well, although I seem to be okay with that (version 5.08.5308). Guess I'll have to dispense with Speccy until Piriform get around to sorting the problem out.
Interestingly (now) is that when Windows 10 installed, the only program it failed to port over from my Windows 7 was - Speccy! I guess I now know why!
Posted for info.
Regards,
Edit - must learn to spell Speccy!

Trust me to be different! . Tried removing Speccy and re-installing a couple of times, always with the same result. Looking at Piriform's community postings it would seems there are others experiencing the same/similar problem. I suspect that there's nothing I can do except hope that there will be some sort of resolution in the near future. Is there any other Speccy-like free program around that I might try in the meantime?
Regards,
Thanks Hans - Downloaded it and there doesn't seem to be any conflicts with Windows 10 - The 'blurb' states that the program is compatible for all versions of Windows and it's dated late July. Think I prefer Speccy but this will certainly do as a stop-gap. Cheers!
