Win 8.1 backup

Is Windows System Image Backup the same as an ISO image? Do they save the same elements: personal files, etc.Thank you

don't be mislead by the URL, the page title explicitly refers to Win 8 (as well as 7 & 10)

Technically they are different. A system image file is a complete backup copy of everything on a particular system, An ISO file a copy of a CD or DVD. So, whatever was on the CD or DVD determines what is in the ISO file. Typically, ISO files are used to make a copy of an installation disc.
