Window 8 Apps seem to be robbing memory

Post by ABabeNChrist »

I’m using a laptop with Windows 8, but when I run my .xlsm workbook it really bogs it down. From my understanding this may be caused by my Windows 8 apps that are running in the back ground and robbing me of memory. Is there a way I can disable or delete (unnecessary) apps safely? I know in setting I can delete apps, but I have no clue which ones are necessary and which ones are not.

In theory, a non-active app should use very little CPU power and RAM memory. Can you find out in the Processes tab of the Task Manager which programs/apps/processes are using a lot of memory?
Best wishes,
Hans

Thanks Hans I’ll use my short key Ctrl+Alt+Esc for Task Manager and check it out
