I recently set up a scheduled task to update the virus definitions for Windows Defender on a daily basis. That works very well and, encouraged by this success, I set up a scheduled task to scan my computer with Windows Defender on a weekly basis. My problem is that it runs a 'quick' scan and not a 'full' scan. My searches for a solution have so far been fruitless. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks...

Re: Windows Defender Scheduled Task
See Windows Defender Scheduled Scan - Set Up in Windows 8. Point #9 shows the argument for a full scan.
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Windows Defender Scheduled Task
Thanks Hans, that did it. I was missing the last switch in the argument.
While I do like Windows 8, I feel that Microsoft made some horrible mistakes and blunders in its implementation. Windows Defender (Win 8 version) is one of them. Why they didn't bake these scheduling features into its GUI is beyond me.
Again, thanks.
