I presently use software for making greeting cards but am looking to change to this, more flexible, Microsoft product as a stand alone software download. Is it fully compatible with Windows 10 (as seems to be the case) or has anyone experienced 'issues'.
The Office product that I already have installed is the basic Microsoft Office 2010 'Home package' comprising Word, Excel and PowerPoint which I assume can continue 'as is' without Microsoft insisting on an upgrade.
Edit.
On reflection, perhaps I should consider a later version of Publisher so that I can get access to their graphics etc

Re: Microsoft Publisher 2010
Publisher 2010 should work fine on Windows 10, but it would be difficult to get a legitimate version - Microsoft no longer sells it.
Best wishes,

Re: Microsoft Publisher 2010
Good advice, thanks.
There is also the problem of no support from Microsoft on eg Publisher 2010 'Help'. Looks like I will need to use a later version or try to find a Greeting Card software that is available in Europe and one that supports A4, 4 fold card, so that it prints correctly when folded ... and not with two of the pages upside down Many USA Greeting Card software's are now restricted to North America.

Hans,
I should have asked if Publisher supports A4 printing on one sheet as a 4 fold card. I guess you or others have Publisher experience

Re: Microsoft Publisher 2010
I'm away from home at the moment and I only have limited experience of MS Publisher so I can't answer the question off the top of my head. It will be Sunday at the earliest before I can investigate.

I don't much use Publisher, but here are some of the sizes for greeting cards available in Publisher 2019. I assume they will work in older versions too, Microsoft hasn't done much with Publisher.

Re: Microsoft Publisher 2010
Thanks. The qtr top fold looks to be a solution but I will double check.
Can I ask what you use, Hans, when you say you don't much use Publisher?

Re: Microsoft Publisher 2010
I just don't need its functionality very often, so I fire it up perhaps three or four times a year. And then I use it to create quite simple documents, so I'm not familiar with its advanced capabilities.
Best wishes,

Also seen another product 'Print Artist' that might support my requirements. We shall see.

Have you checked out Avery templates (don't know if they include any graphics)?
I found this on Amazon referring to A4 paper (folds to A5). This may do you no good, but thought it worth a think.

"Hmm. What does this button do?" Said everyone before being ejected from a car, blown up, or deleting all the data from the mainframe.

Thanks for thoughts, Kim. I had considered Avery which I use for envelope labels because my handwriting is so bad these days.kdock wrote: ↑28 Jul 2021, 21:31Have you checked out Avery templates (don't know if they include any graphics)?

On the subject of Publisher, after a bit of a study it is clear that specialist greeting card software is the best solution. Working with many layers is very easy and quick plus the vast number of various designs that are available. I have found what I consider to be a good replacement to Hallmark which is no longer available outside of North America ... it comes from the same 'stable' (historically) and should be an easy learning curve.
Thanks to all ... I knew nothing about Publisher so this was another exercise for my 'grey' brain.
