I seem to have lost my OneNote notebook files. I've been trying to come up with a search argument that will give me some hint as to how to proceed. I think I saved them on my hard drive instead of OneDrive.
If anyone can give me hints on where I might find information a) on my computer or b) where to find help on line I will be much obliged.

Do you see a folder C:\Users\<username>\Documents\OneNote Notebooks ?

Yes, that path exists but, alas, there is no notebook data therein.
