Interesting test. I don't know what my score of 19 means, but I do think it might have been a better test of my monitor than of my eyesight!

I dragged the display from my laptop screen, which has a slightly dark privacy filter, to my external monitor and it got much easier.

All in all, 17 doesn't sound so bad, given the scale of 0 (perfect) to 99 (low color acuity)

Your score: 17
Gender: Female
Age range: 50-59
Best score for your gender and age range: 0
Highest score for your gender and age range: 1185

I agree with Stuart that the laptop screen is not as conducive to visual acuity. Going to try on my desktop.
I found it easier to go from right to left as it seemed easier...

Ah, but can you hear like a teenager? http://theoatmeal.com/quizzes/sound/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I can just barely hear something at the very edge of my hearing, more like a pressure against my eardrum than an actual sound. The "sound" is slightly more distinct when I play the direct download, but both versions cause my eyes to water.

I could hear if I turned either of my ears directly to the speaker, but not otherwise. (I'm in my fifties)

I found the hearing test quite easy, surprisingly, but got 76 (eek!) on the color test (probably because I know it is spelled "colour")!

Later... The Hue test became so much easier when I was assisted by the excellent Color Pic...!

I scored 0 on the colour test, but couldn't hear a thing on the other one. Curse this speakerless work PC!!!

While searching for a "smell-o-vision" type of puzzle, I found this instead:

It doesn't get any better than this!~

I checked it out on Snopes http://www.snopes.com/glurge/rain.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
