This guy is unbelievable. If this is a hobby, he needs to make it his profession.
All of the pictures are of model cars and model backdrops.

That is one very talented model maker. If it was not for the pictures that show the model maker, you could easily pass off the whole set of photos as the real thing and not models.

Re: Blast From America's Past
Took me back to the 50's and my childhood in NJ. How well I remember the milkman cometh, and the drive-ins and the cars that my folks and grandparents drove. Thanks Doc, I'm sharing this link with my family/friends

Never mind the cars!Doc Watson wrote:This guy is unbelievable. If this is a hobby, he needs to make it his profession
I've spent a few days tooling around the little red-brick towns of NY state, and the houses/shops/streets are mind-boggling.
Thanks for the great link.

His photography is fantastic. I believe the model cars come from the Danbury Mint.

You could very well be correct. But that's a lot of money tied up in model cars.djlansing wrote:His photography is fantastic. I believe the model cars come from the Danbury Mint.

Re: Blast From America's Past
I did a search at the Danbury Mint looking for one of these (LaSalle). When I was a kid, I had an uncle in Brooklyn who had one and it was the first car I ever took an interest in. Some automobile!djlansing wrote:His photography is fantastic. I believe the model cars come from the Danbury Mint.
