Hi.... the instruction booklet that came with my Nokia 2600 mobile (yes I know it's rather ancient but it does what I want) is lacking in more than one aspect of information one of which is, there are no instructions as to how to turn off the predictive text permanently. I know pressing the # key offers various options like turning off PT but that appears to be just for the text message being created, also what keys do I press to see what credit I have left in my account please?
Thanks Dave.

Does this help?
Press Menu 3 times.
Press Options.
Scroll to "Dictionary", press Select.
Scroll to "Dictionary Off" and press OK.
I don't know the answer to your other question, it's provider-specific.
