Wouldn't :bananas: turn brown very quickly after such treatment?
Best wishes,
Hans

:yum:

:chocciebar: AND :bananas: together

I have done this on a barbecue before, just slit the :bananas: open, put :chocciebar: in the middle, wrap in foil and heat.

Wow, usually I like bananas only in banana splits or ice cream, but dang it, those look delicious and not too difficult to make, even for a klutz like me. (remember, I have a hard time cooking omlettes! )

Do you ever feel like this lioness that fell into a mudhole?
Just not my day type of feeling. Things got you down, bunkie?

I recall reading somewhere some months back that inkjet printers and lasers would be used to place UPC codes on fruit and vegetables allowing per piece pricing instead of weight or package count pricing. Looks like someone has extended that to gilding the lily - or decorating the banana.

About six months ago, yep. Eliminating those :censored: adhesive labels is A Good Thing(TM).

Hi Chris
Don't lose sight of the changing legislation brought on by this little fiasco.

Heh he. I followed that case with interest, but my situation is nowhere near as bad as that. Please see my reply to Hans.

Chris is smarter than that, and such a nice and helpful guy to (re)boot.
I help my same-age lady friend go shopping.
We drive to NoFrills, she grabs the flyer while I grab a cart.
"Go get me some nice bananas" she commands while she sees how she can save a buck.
"I'll grab a few extra", I say, "since your grandson is coming over tomorrow"
"Good idea"
I know she never feeds them to her grandson, but I get extra anyway.
A week later I accept a half-dozen ripe bananas and take them home to make another batch of banana bread ...

And she thinks she's cheap!

Why not? We grow them in the Bernese Oberland, next to the Sturgeon pools, in the aptly named Frutigen. :bananas: and caviar :sailing: for all!

Great link! for which many thanks.
I passed it on to Green Connections.

I was tempted to make a comment about Bernese(sic!) Sauce, but will save it for the Cooking Forum.

Having read some of Chris' posts on the cooking forum, I believe he would try anything :exclamation:
