Ken, I recently discovered that I have Yorkshire roots . . . an ancestor in Cowlam, ca 950AD. :scratch:

Yes, these days the cost of just about everything raises an eyebrow. However, Yorkshire folk are considered by most other parts of the UK to be rather reluctant to part with their money and thus are more likely to express disbelief at the cost of an item, even if the item is not expensive. In this case though such a cry of horror at the price seems justified.
