How do I interpret this sentence?
Upon arrival the driver of the vehicle had absconded leaving two sheep in the vehicle, one on the back seat and two in the boot.
Best wishes,
Hans

A further example of the sad decline of local journalism in the UK, where the author of a piece cannot even be bothered to read it through again. As for grammar- or proof-reading, forget it!

Thats very unusual, there is normally a sheep dog driving them around, but I suppose everyone needs a day off.

As John has already explained, that's classic local journalism. I must admit it's one of the best failures I've seen on the York Press website
