Lyrid Meteor Shower

Post by Graeme »

The Lyrid Meteor Shower peaks this weekend. After midnight, after your eyes have dark adapted, you should see at least one every five minutes. It's a new Moon so that helps a lot. Lyrids are fast so they leave a short trail but the bigger ones can cause a fire ball and also leave a vapour trail.

Good luck!

Perhaps, have a kip in the afternoon? (I probably will!)

And you can see some before midnight too.
