Venus and the Pleiades

Post by Graeme »

If you fancy a look, Venus is in a fairly close conjunction with the Pleiades over the next couple of nights.

Use binoculars for an even better view.

Also, Subaru is the Japanese word for the Pleiades, so Subaru cars have an image of the Pleiades as a badge.

Well, that little gem certainly justified the annual cost of my lounge subscription. My across-the-street neighbor owns a Subaru. I can now casually drop that little tidbit into our next conversation. Keep up the good work, Graeme! πŸ‘πŸ»

Thanks for that, Graeme.

I used to own a Subaru and wondered what the galactic images meant.

And if your SW to West sky is clear tonight the real thing will be close to Venus!
