'Milestone' document that helped restore the British monarchy goes on sale
I was struck by two things:-
(1) the legibility of the handwriting and
(2) the readability of the text.
The document is - what? - 350 years old?
Neat handwriting, and words and syntax that make sense today.
The words and syntax are probably standardized by Caxton's printing press (1450-1499?)
I doubt Charles wrote this - it would have been some clerk of state - but nonetheless, i wish that my handwriting was as clear as this.
Cheers, Chris
