Oh no... I poked the bear.
No you didn't! You poked a Koala, and they are not bears!

Seriously, I think this might feed your Schadenfreude.

Bob? I think this might feed your Schadenfreude.
Mouth of Cedar Creek(? Cedar Creek Lakes?) appears to be your closest stretch of ocean, roughly 300Km away.
No surf.
No Swyers Supermarket; therefore no Deena, queen-a-my-heart.
Maybe it will become clear once the haze and fog lifts.
Is that an oil refinery I see up the road a-ways?

Well, if we're going to continue...

It's a known fact that koalas drink very little water. And they get a sort of high from eating eucalyptus leaves. But it's less well known that they drink tea. Not just any tea, but a very good standard tea.

High koala tea.

Why is a koala like a 4-6-2 Pacific class steam locomotive?
Spoiler
Because it has a tender behind.

...a 4-6-2 Pacific class steam locomotive?...
I find it reassuring that the search on duckduckgo returns an image of 'Mallard', the fastest steam train of all time. Sadly though, not as the first hit.

Why are you surprised to get a Mallard when you search with duck duck go?

How about a duck-billed Platypus? (Just kitten!) :kitty:

I wasn't surprised, I was relieved that 'Mallard' was found but at the same disappointed it wasn't the top hit.

So this will be my last post complaining about ...
And THAT is why I am not posting an absolute hyperlink to today's insightful cartoon, that greeted me (this day) at 0800 Newfoundland time (when the sky was light enough for me to read my electricity meter, too! :clapping: )

Geoff, maybe you should move to The Centre Of The Known Universe?

Geoff is at the centre of his observable universe.

As are we all!

It would be interesting to be at the edge of one's own observable universe.

Oh, it is, my dear, it is!

I have this vague idea that the universe is featureless in the sense that every point is equidistant from etc etc etc from which it must follow that while to me I am The Centre of The Known Universe, to any other observer, I must be on the edge of The Known Universe.

Right? πŸ˜€
And then: if you are at the centre of your own known universe and others each have their own known universes, could there be an intersection and, gulp, even interaction? 😊
