It's only an hour, right? Thursday afternoon 1300-1400 UK time, so 11:39-12:30 local time.
I would feel bad if I booked a seat and then couldn't show up, though.
Thanks, Chris

Chris, I think your calculation is off by a little.

Thank you, Jay. And off by more than the nine-minute typo in my post.
Sigh!
I made the same mistake on Monday, September 29, 2014.

Back then our gallant hero arrived at CDG around 9:30 for a flight billed as “dep 1500”, known as three o’clock in the afternoon.
Sigh!
I think I need a care-giver ...
Cheers, Chris

And that while you could have had a cup of coffee with me in Paris...
Best wishes,

That's far better than doing it the other way around.

I had friends who went to Korea, who had a flight booked back for 15:00, so arrived 2 hours before their 5pm flight. They had to buy new tickets.

In their defence, they went to Korea to bury their father, so were perhaps not in the clearest state.

that's right1
It's all coming back to me now.
Then it got worse: I met you two years later in Amsterdam, I experienced the first of two TGV rides (they always seem to come in pairs) and thinking that the spurs of the RER-A lines were closed for maintenance on the weekend (Sat-Sun) I arrived back at Châtelet-Les Halles and watched several trains rumble in and then out to La Defense and St Germain-en-Laye until it dawned on me that the spurs closed down early evening Friday.
 :stupidme:

At this point I must have panicked because I hopped aboard a train for La Defense, then paid 80 Euros for a cab to Poissy.

I promised myself that never again would I meet with you on my third trip to the Île de France, and I appear to have learned my lesson.

Cheers, Chris

A good argument for taking with you someone not related to the deceased at all. An impromptu tour-guide, as it were.
Cheers, Chris
